Terms of Service

1. Overview

SinaPilot is a scientific reasoning platform accessible at https://www.sinapilot.ai. It provides AI-assisted tools for analysing, reviewing, and synthesising scientific literature, including structured summaries, grounded Q&A, peer-review critique, PubMed discovery, and multi-paper synthesis.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a binding agreement between you (“User”) and SinaPilot (“we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the platform. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use SinaPilot.

2. Access to the Service

  • Registration: access to SinaPilot requires creating an account with a valid email address. You must be at least 16 years old to register.
  • Personal and non-transferable: your account is strictly personal. You may not share, sell, or transfer access to your account to any third party.
  • Credential security: you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@sinapilot.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Account suspension: SinaPilot reserves the right to suspend or permanently disable any account that breaches these Terms, engages in abusive behaviour, or poses a risk to the platform or other users.

3. Plans and Billing

  • Available plans: Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Lab. Current plan features and pricing are described at https://www.sinapilot.ai/#pricing. SinaPilot reserves the right to modify plan features and pricing with 30 days' advance notice.
  • Billing: paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal. You authorise SinaPilot to charge your payment method on file for all applicable fees.
  • AI credits: credits are consumed on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis. Add-on credit packs expire 30 days after purchase and are non-transferable. Unused credits from your monthly plan allocation do not carry over to the next billing cycle.
  • Refunds: monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. Partially consumed credits are not refunded. If SinaPilot cancels your account for reasons other than a Terms violation, we will issue a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SinaPilot only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • —Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or that infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.
  • —Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, plan restrictions, or any access control mechanism.
  • —Use the service to generate, publish, or distribute misleading, fraudulent, or medically dangerous content.
  • —Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any part of SinaPilot.
  • —Resell, sublicense, or provide access to SinaPilot to third parties outside of the Team and Lab plan seat allocation.
  • —Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the service in a manner that exceeds normal human usage patterns or that disrupts platform operations.

5. Intellectual Property

  • SinaPilot platform: the SinaPilot platform, including its interface, code, branding, and proprietary algorithms, is the exclusive intellectual property of SinaPilot. No licence is granted to copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any platform component.
  • Generated outputs: summaries, analyses, reviews, and other content generated by SinaPilot in response to your inputs are provided to you for your personal or professional use, subject to Anthropic's usage policies governing outputs from the Claude API. SinaPilot makes no claim of ownership over such outputs.
  • Uploaded papers: scientific papers you upload remain the property of their respective authors and publishers. By uploading a paper, you represent that you have the right to do so for the purpose of analysis within the platform.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Not a substitute for professional advice: SinaPilot is an AI-assisted analytical tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical, clinical, or scientific expert advice. Outputs should not be used as the sole basis for clinical decisions, regulatory filings, or academic publications without independent expert review.
  • User responsibility: you are solely responsible for how you use and apply any outputs generated by the platform. SinaPilot accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of generated content.
  • No warranty of accuracy: SinaPilot does not guarantee the completeness, correctness, or fitness for purpose of any generated analysis. The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Liability cap: to the maximum extent permitted by law, SinaPilot's aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to SinaPilot in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.

7. Service Availability

SinaPilot strives to maintain maximum service uptime and undergoes regular maintenance. No contractual uptime SLA is provided on the Free and Pro plans. A formal SLA with defined uptime commitments and incident response times is available on the Max plan. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. SinaPilot is not liable for downtime caused by third-party infrastructure failures, including AWS outages.

8. Termination

  • By you: you may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • By SinaPilot: we may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, in the event of a material breach of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion with 30 days' notice for any other reason.
  • Data after termination: upon account closure, your data is retained for 30 days to allow recovery in case of accidental deletion. After that period, all personal data associated with your account is permanently and irreversibly deleted, except where retention is required by law (see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy).

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France. Notwithstanding the foregoing, users outside the European Union may have additional rights under mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in their jurisdiction, which these Terms do not seek to override.
